Procedures for study abroad

Procedures for study abroad
Before going to study abroad will need to perform a number of procedures. Depending on the type of study and the duration of this can be one or the other, but in all cases must prepare in advance, as most of the procedures are slow and you have to have all the papers in order before leaving . Depending on the country you want to study procedures will be one or the other. Study within or outside the European Union is one or the other formalities. Another key factor is the type of study and age. It’s not the same being a minor, making a summer stay language, participate in an exchange program or go to a Masters abroad. The best place to go to find out all the legal paperwork is the consulate or embassy of your destination country and also the center of origin or destination in case of stay organized. They can advise you on what to do and where to go for different documents. One of the first documents that ask you (except if you learn a language) is language proficiency either by testing with certificates official examinations or any other document that can prove your language skills. Another important document is the report card or academic qualification. Other documents you may need are:
  • Visa with permission to stay in the country in student status
  • Medical Coverage
  • Residence permit
  • Specific tests for access to studies
  • Motivation letter addressed to the target center
  • Language tests
  • Interviews with the center
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Letters of recommendation
In all cases it is a slow process paperwork. As before you start planning your stay you will have fewer problems at the time of leave.
